Baby girl, Big Boy, Birthday girl
Yesterday, Sadaf had another routine ultrasound. We got some great looks at baby’s head, her foot, and her heart, which was beating strong at about 130 bpm. Based on her size, baby girl is estimated to weigh four and a half pounds right now. She has some chubby cheeks and the Simpson five-head. What more could we ask for? We even got to see some of her movements on the ultrasound. Her favorite moves seem to be throwing punches and sucking on her hand.
Sadaf slept in yesterday morning to get her beauty rest prior to the ultrasound, but I went out to see Union Pacific’s steam locomotive “Big Boy” pass through Bryan and followed it south to Navasota, where it stopped for about half an hour for the enjoyment of what seemed to be close to a thousand people—maybe more—before continuing on towards Houston. It’ll be back in Bryan on Monday afternoon and on display all of Tuesday, so many more photos still to come!
Last night, we continued the tradition of starting birthday celebrations right at midnight. I baked brownies and we sang to celebrate Sadaf’s 27th birthday. I failed to anticipate the effect the hot brownies would have on the birthday candles, so we had to improvise with the decorative candle sticks.
